Through its pioneering efforts, the Symbiosis College of Nursing(SCON) aims to create leaders
in the nursing professionals by providing unique, innovative programmes that are responsive to the market need,
keeping in mind the rapid advances in the health care sector in India as well as abroad.
The curriculum emphasizes on holistic approach to nursing care. The syllabus approved by the Indian Nursing Council is complimented with American Heart Association (AHA) recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certifications. Additional modules on Communication Skills, Principles & practices of Management and Medico-legal issues will ensure an all round trained nursing professional who meets the International Standards in terms of quality of Education and Service. This in totality ensures numerous career avenues for a SCON graduate in the healthcare industry across the world.
The SCON has associated with major tertiary care hospitals of the city to provide the necessary "hands on" clinical & para clinical experience, necessary for the students pursuing these hospitals based academic programmes. A formal Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with the major Private as well as Governmental Hospitals in Pune for the same.

On one hand he / she is required to have high degree of skills in providing life support systems in well equipped hospitals and on the other hand he/she is the principal advisor in preventive and promotive health care in the community. Specialization in different fields of nursing care is also increasing. The role of the nursing professional as hospital & healthcare administrator, educator, research worker is also being recognized increasingly. Healthcare & Health club facilities: The Symbiosis Centre of Health Care (SCHC) is the in-house Health Care unit exclusive to the staff and students of the various institutes of Symbiosis. The SCHC has a team of specialist doctors who conduct the (compulsory) annual check up. Out patient treatment is provided to the students by the medical officers of SCHC. The centre also arranges seminars & health education workshops. Each student is insured under Medi-Claim and Road Traffic Accident Policy. A copy of the policy document is available with the Registrar/Office Superintendent. For further details regarding the benefits of the policy, the student should contact the SCHC. The SCHC also provides an in-house, modern health and fitness centre with a view to facilitate a holistic development of mind and body for an all round development of our students. Training facilities for strength, endurance, flexibility and cardio vascular fitness including .Yoga and Meditation will be provided in customized capsules suited to the unique requirements of the student population in confirmation with their academic curriculum.
- Auditorium: The in-house facilities include a 600 seater modern auditorium and a modern conference hall at Vishwabhavan.
- Classrooms: Lecture classrooms are well equipped with the latest audio visual facilities
- Library: All students will be provided library facilities consisting of relevant course material, reference books, CDs etc.
- Placement Cell: The Placement Cell will assist all students to obtain employment.
